I've moved!!!!!

Not accross the atlantic yet...so don't get worried, I'm still planning on seeing Greenbelt through this festival and tying up everything here appropriately....tho' it is tempting at times when I'm so far away from Matt and have 130 days to wait until I hopefully see him again...but I've been warned by an immigrations officer and will do everything by the book!
I've moved blogging locations. Matt has been playing around with the idea of having a website and set one up yesterday...and then after that set one up for me. So here is my new site !! Hope y'all manage to migrate across and join me there!

Home?

I'm back in the house I pay rent for, but even more than the past few times I've returned from the States it doesn't quite feel like home anymore. I know part of this will wear off over the next couple of weeks as I get back into work and the many other things that eat into the day, but it was hard leaving. The one thing that made it slightly more bearable was the thought that this could quite possibly be the last time that we have to do the whole parting at the airport thing. So, before I go all morose and waffle on about how much I miss Matt I'll wrap this up!

I've found a dress!!!!

Not any old dress you know....not just any new dress either......a dress for my wedding!!!!
Today I went with a girl who is becoming a good friend to hunt through the bridal stores up in Knoxville....felt kinda a daunting process and the first store we went into didn't deem us important enough to send anyone over to talk to us (so they lost out!). Having done the two big stores, Val phoned her boyfriend and got him to search for other addresses of ones which lead us to this little boutique type shop - owned and managed by this couple - and it was lovely....she was a tad overmade up but under that veneer she was a caring woman who wanted to put you at your ease, help you search for what you wanted and was willing to spend time and listen (guess she was a good salesperson too!). We ended up chatting about driving overseas as they'd been over in the UK a couple of times with a business they had, visas, living in Tennessee.....and bought a dress. It's lovely (no pink, just incase any of you are still worried!!) and made me look like someone who was about to get married (the realization that I'm getting married (subject to the approval of US immigrations!) seems to keep hitting me in waves!!!). Anyway, it's now safely at Matt's parents house with a picture for me to bring home!!

Thursday already

Time is going by at far too fast a pace at the moment. The first week I was here was great, time seemed to stretch a bit....but this week I guess is payback!
It's been good being here - getting to know people better, practicing driving, learning how to get round Dayton and where things are. It's starting to feel like somewhere which could really become home.
Haven't really got many other thoughts - any spare brain capacity at the moment is being taken up with working out where to have the wedding over here and how we should merge the UK & southern US traditions!
